Was ist ESET PROTECT Essential On-Prem?
ESET PROTECT Essential On-Prem (in precedenza ESET Endpoint Protection Standard) è il livello base della piattaforma ESET PROTECT nella versione con console installata in sede: protezione antivirus per computer e file server, con gestione centralizzata.
Versione
ESET ha smesso di vendere ESET PROTECT Essential, anche nella versione On-Prem, il 4 novembre 2025. Chi ha un abbonamento attivo continua a usarlo fino alla scadenza; per rinnovare dopo quella data ESET richiede di passare a un livello superiore.
Cosa comprende
- Endpoint Antivirus: protezione dei computer con basso carico sul sistema.
- Sicurezza dei file server: elimina virus, rootkit, worm e spyware dai file server.
- Gestione centralizzata: da ESET PROTECT On-Prem, la console che ha sostituito ESET Remote Administrator.
Console on-premises
La console ESET PROTECT On-Prem si installa su un server Windows o Linux dell'azienda e si usa dal browser. Rispetto alla console nel cloud non comprende la gestione di vulnerabilità e patch e, dalla versione 11.1, la gestione dei dispositivi mobili (MDM). I livelli On-Prem non si usano con la console nel cloud.
Licenza
Le soluzioni aziendali ESET usano il modello ESET Unilicense: serve una licenza per ogni sistema operativo protetto. La licenza segue il cambio di sistema operativo e si trasferisce su un altro dispositivo se il precedente non è più in uso.
