What is Microsoft Windows Server 2022 User CAL?
La User CAL (Client Access License) di Windows Server 2022 dà a un utente il diritto di accedere ai servizi di un server con Windows Server 2022, edizione Standard o Datacenter. La licenza è legata alla persona e non al dispositivo: lo stesso utente può collegarsi dal computer dell'ufficio, dal portatile, dal tablet o dallo smartphone.
Quando sceglierla
- Quando i dipendenti usano più dispositivi ciascuno, anche personali o fuori sede.
- Quando in azienda ci sono più dispositivi che utenti.
- Quando vuoi gestire l'accesso per persona.
Se invece più persone usano lo stesso dispositivo, l'alternativa è la Device CAL, legata al dispositivo.
Licenza
- Serve una CAL per ogni utente che accede al server.
- Le CAL 2022 permettono l'accesso a Windows Server 2022 e alle versioni precedenti: per un server con Windows Server 2025 servono le CAL 2025.
- Per le sessioni di Desktop remoto serve anche una CAL di Servizi Desktop remoto.
- La CAL è un diritto di licenza che si aggiunge alla licenza del server: non contiene software da installare.
